Anyone know a good women's hair stylist in Antigua? I need someone who knows current American styles and is able to help direct a client and adapt a style to a client's face type, etc. Skill is def. more important than price.

Getting a hair cut in Guatemala was one of the hardest things I did there because I did not learn any vocabulary to help me. I knew short, vary short, but I got it done and to my surprise it turned out well.
A guy came in and his hair was close to how it wanted mine so I told them I want my hair the same as his. Everyone had a good laugh and we moved on. If you want to learn a 2nd languages getting laughed at is part of it don’t take it personally and for 20Q it was cheap.
I know it’s a lot deferent for a women but I did see I lot of books someone could point to a photo I guess.
I know this does not help you find a skilled person but maybe it will help someone?

I ended up going to Stile Piu in the Convent of Concepcion (I believe.) The gal who owns it and does the cuts is Italian and I found her lovely and funny. When I tried to ask her how she met her Guatelmeteco husband, I think it came out, ¨How did you get to know your spouse?¨ And she replied with a twinkle in her eye, ¨With my hands and my words.¨ The cut turned out great and it was all a lot of fun. Friday I get my first facial, body wrap, and massage!
